The community recreation center was a barren and uninviting space, devoid of any visual interest or appeal. The area was dominated by dry grass and lacked any significant landscaping or decorative features. Visitors were met with a desolate and uninspiring environment that did not encourage them to stay or enjoy the amenities that the center had to offer. The area felt disconnected and did not convey a sense of community or warmth.

The lack of landscaping and greenery contributed to the uninviting and unappealing atmosphere, leaving visitors with a negative impression of the center.

The Challenge

Before re-landscaping the community recreation center, several challenges had to be overcome. Firstly, the existing environment was mostly barren, with dry grass and little or no landscaping. This presented a blank canvas to work with, but also meant that the project required a significant amount of planning and design to create a cohesive and attractive landscape. Secondly, the area was exposed to the elements and required careful consideration of the types of plants and materials used, to ensure they could withstand the harsh conditions. Finally, the project had to be completed on a tight budget, requiring careful selection of materials and efficient use of resources.

We Made

The re-landscaping of the community recreation center has completely transformed the area, resulting in a vibrant and inviting space that is both functional and visually appealing. The large circular paved feature provides a central focal point and creates a sense of unity and cohesion in the landscape. The carefully chosen shrubs and plants add color and texture, creating a lush and inviting environment that encourages visitors to stay and enjoy the amenities.

The addition of benches and seating areas allows for relaxation and socialization, while the newly installed lighting creates a safe and welcoming atmosphere after dark. Overall, the results of the re-landscaping project have exceeded expectations, creating a beautiful and functional space that the community can be proud of.
